NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Have a Fancy Yancy Christmas, the national debut from family entertainer and worship leader Yancy, hits stores October 6. Releasing via Pure Blue Records and Word Distribution, the 10-song set was produced by Stephen Leiweke (Chris Sligh, Cindy Morgan) and features Yancy’s cheerful arrangements of classic and original Christmas selections.

Known for her bright and upbeat pop style, Yancy’s music has already endeared her to children and pre-teen audiences around the country. With the national release of Have a Fancy Yancy Christmas, she brings her unique style to listeners of every age.

Highlights of Have a Fancy Yancy Christmas include such favorites as “Wonderful Christmastime,” “The First Noel,” and “Joy To The World,” as well as the Yancy-penned “Merry Christmas, Happy Christmas” and “Christmastime.” The album’s debut single, “The Greatest Gift,” will be serviced to Christian radio formats next month.

In support of Have a Fancy Yancy Christmas, Yancy will be performing select Christmas concerts around the country. She will also be featured this fall and winter at SuperStart, a pre-teen conference hosted by Christ in Youth held in 10 markets.

A seasoned artist, worship leader and songwriter, Yancy has opened for such names as Nichole Nordeman and the Newsboys. She co-wrote Avalon’s #1 hit, “I Don’t Want to Go,” as well as Jaci Velasquez’s “Something Beautiful”; and she has written two devotional books for worship leaders and band members, The Worship Pulse and Worship in Black and White. Now residing near Nashville, Yancy spent five years at Church On the Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she oversaw worship in a variety of areas and age groups.
